CELEBRATING 155 YEARS OF GOD’S FAITHFULNESS
Prelude / Processional
Karine Bendicion
Leader 1: Lord, you have been our dwelling place throughout all the generations. (Psalm 90:1)
People: You, O Lord, have been a dwelling place for us and our children.
Leader 2: Wala pa ang mga bundok, hindi mo pa nilalalang, hindi mo pa nililikha, itong buong daigdig, ikaw noon ay Diyos na, pagkat ika’y walang hanggan. (Psalm 90:2)
People: You, O Lord, have been with us for these 155 years!
Leader 3: Dios es nuestro amparo y fortaleza, nuestro pronto auxilio en las tribulaciones. (Psalm 46:1)
People: You, O Lord, have been our refuge and our strength!
Leader 1: Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed, for His compassions never fail. They are new every morning, great is God’s faithfulness. (Lamentations 3:22, 23)
People: You, O Lord, have been our faithful God!
(Romans 12: 5)
ALL: You, O Lord, have built your church in this place and we have been blessed. Come, let us worship God. Amen.
Deacon Jayvie Bautista,
Deacon Nery Baterina and Elder Carlos Vega
Call to Worship
Opening Hymn #554
“Let All Things Now Living”
Text: Katherine Davie, 1939
Welsh folk melody
1.
Let all things now living a song of thanksgiving
To God our Creator triumphantly raise;
Who fashioned and made us,
Protected and stayed us,
By guiding us onto the end of our days.
God's banners are o'er us,
Pure light goes before us,
A pillar of fire shining forth in the night:
Till shadows have vanished,
All fearfulness banished,
As forward we travel from light into Light.
2.
By law God enforces the stars in their courses,
The sun in its orbit obediently shine;
The hills and the mountains,
The rivers and fountains,
The depths of the ocean proclaim God divine.
We, too, should be voicing our love and rejoicing
With glad adoration, a song let us raise:
Till all things now living unite in thanksgiving
To God in the highest, hosanna and praise.
Invocation
Elder Ed Ramos
Prayer of Confession
Elder Jopy Lopez
Call to Confession
Our world and our lives are not all that they should be. We fall short of reflecting the image of God and being the hands and feet of Christ to the world. Let us confess our sin, confident that God hears the cries of a sinner who repents.
Confession (together)
Merciful God, like the disciples we are short-sighted and small- minded. We focus on problems and needs and on what seem like logical or "possible" solutions. We rely on our own strengths and resources and are quickly overwhelmed. We forget to turn to you, and we fail to depend on your Spirit. Forgive us, Lord. Remind us yet again that your ways are not ours, and that, with you, all things are possible. Renew us in faith and commitment that we might trust you in every situation. In Jesus name, Amen.

May the Lord of peace himself give you peace at all times and in every way. The Lord be with all of you. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit. Amen.

Leader 1: In gratitude for God’s grace and faithfulness to CPC for the last 155 years let us give thanks now with joy!
All: We come to God with thanksgiving. We praise God with music and song (Psalm 95:2).
Leader 2: For 155 years, God has allowed us to witness and serve in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord.
All: Lord, you are great and do marvelous deeds, you alone are God (Psalm 86:10).
Leader 3: For 155 years, God has provided us with faithful stewards who have lived for others and for God’s glory.
All: Blessed be God’s name forever, may God’s glory fill the whole earth (Psalm 72: 19).
Leader 1: For 155 years, God the Holy Spirit has been in our midst, restoring, comforting, guiding, protecting and sustaining us.
All: Lord, you are our Shepherd, we shall not want. (Ps. 23: 1)
Leader 2: For 155 years, God has prepared us for this time and place, to be God’s light and salt to this community and beyond.
Leader 3: God of our past, our present and our future, you have always been with us. You have been good to us.
All: Lord, blessing, honor, glory, and power belong to you who is seated on the throne, and to the Lamb forever and always. Amen! (Revelation 5:13)
To this temple, where we call You, come, O Lord of
Hosts, today; with Your wonted loving-kindness
hear Your people as they pray, and Your fullest
benediction shed within its walls alway.

“Come, Ye Thankful People, Come”
Text: Henry Alford, 1844
Tune George Elvey, 1859
1.
Come, ye thankful people, come,
Raise the song of harvest home;
All is safely gathered in,
Ere the winter storms begin;
God, our Maker, doth provide,
For our wants to be supplied:
Come to God's own temple, come,
Raise the song of harvest home.
2.
All the world is God's own field,
Fruit unto God's praise to yield;
Wheat and tares together sown,
Unto joy or sorrow grown;
First the blade and then the ear,
Then the full corn shall appear:
Lord of harvest, grant that we
Wholesome grain and pure may be.
3.
For the Lord our God shall come,
And shall take the harvest home;
From each field shall in that day
All offenses purge away;
Give the angels charge at last
In the fire the tares to cast,
But the fruitful ears to store
In God's garner evermore.
4.
Even so, Lord, quickly come
To Thy final harvest home;
Gather Thou Thy people in,
Free from sorrow, free from sin;
There forever purified,
In Thy presence to abide:
Come, with all Thine angels, come,
Raise the glorious harvest home.
Closing Prayer and Benediction
Seven-Fold Amen (Lutkin’s Benediction)
