  • Karine Bendicion

    (The Lord is in His holy temple, let all the earth be silent before Him.)

  • Leader: Elder Lito Silla

    Leader: Make a joyful noise to God, all the earth!
    People: Sing to the glory of God’s name.
    Leader: All of creation worships, singing praise to God.
    People: Sing to the glory of God’s name. Sing of His goodness and grace.
    ALL: Let us give glory to God. Praising God all our days. Come let us worship God, Amen!

  • O for a Thousand Tongues to Sing
    Hymn: Charles Wesley, 1738
    Tune: Carl Glaser, 1828

    1.
    O for a thousand tongues to sing
    My great Redeemer's praise,
    The glories of my God and King,
    The triumphs of God's grace!

    2.
    Jesus, the name that charms our fears,
    That bids our sorrows cease;
    'Tis music in the sinner's ears,
    'Tis life, and health, and peace.

    3.
    Christ breaks the power of reigning sin,
    And sets the prisoner free;
    Christ's blood can make the sinful clean,
    Christ's blood availed for me.

    4.
    My gracious Master and my God,
    Assist me to proclaim,
    To spread through all the earth abroad
    The honors of Thy name.

  • Holy God, when we are in need, we cry out for your mercy and healing. Yet, we confess that too often, we are confident in our own strength. We have taken the blessings we feel entitled and continue on our way, rather than returning to you in worship and praise.

    Jesus, have mercy on us! It is easy to take for granted the ease of life we here experience, while failing to question why others are pushed to the margins and excluded. It is tempting to take pride in our health and strength rather than seeing that we cannot truly live without God.

    Jesus, have mercy on us! Forgive us and help us to grow in compassion for all people. Redirect us to you Lord, offering all our praise and gratitude, now and always. In Jesus’ name we pray, Amen.

    (A time of silence for personal reflection, to be ended with the ringing of the bell.)

  • Rev. Emmanuel Orendain

  • Adult Praise Team led by Elder Mike Delfin

  • May the Lord of peace himself give you peace at all times and in every way. The Lord be with all of you. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit. Amen.

    NT: Philippians 4: 4-9 / Tami Orendain DelaCruz

  • “Glory Be to the Father”
    (Collection of Prayer Cards)

  • O hope of every contrite heart
    O joy of all the meek
    To those who fall
    How kind Thou art!
    How good to those who seek!

  • A New Song
    Text: Isaac Watts, Dale Peterson
    Music: Dale Peterson
    Sung: CPC Chancel Choir
    Conducting: Karine Bendicion

    From all that dwell below the skies,
    Let the Creator's praise arise;
    let the Redeemer's name be sung,
    through every land by every tongue.
    O shout and sing! Shout and sing!
    Shout and sing a new, new, song!
    Shout and sing! Shout and sing!
    Your praises sing!

    Sing your new song to the Lord all the earth,
    sing your new song to the Lord all the earth.
    Eternal are Your mercies, Lord,
    eternal truth attends Your word.
    Your praise shall sound from shore to shore,
    Till suns shall rise and set no more.

    So sing a new song to the Lord all the earth.
    Lift up your voice and shout and sing!
    Sing your new song!

  • “THE NOW IN GOD’S PLAN”
    Rev. Emmanuel G. Orendain

  • (from A Brief Statement of Faith, PCUSA)

    In life and in death we belong to God. Through the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Spirit, we trust in the one triune God, the Holy One of Israel, whom alone we worship and serve.

    We trust in Jesus Christ, fully human, fully God. Jesus proclaimed the reign of God: preaching good news to the poor and release to the captives, teaching by word and deed and blessing the children, healing the sick and binding up the brokenhearted, eating with outcasts, forgiving sinners, and calling all to repent and believe the gospel.

    In gratitude to God, empowered by the Spirit, we strive to serve Christ in our daily tasks and to live holy and joyful lives, even as we watch for God’s new heaven and new earth, praying, “Come, Lord Jesus!”

    Communion Hymn #503

    COME, RISEN LORD
    Hymn: George Briggs, 1931
    Tune: Alfred Smith, 1941

    1.
    Come, risen Lord, and deign to be our guest;
    Nay, let us be Thy guests; the feast is Thine;
    Thyself at Thine own board make manifest
    In Thine own sacrament of bread and wine.

    2.
    We meet, as in that upper room they met,
    Thou at the table, blessing, yet dost stand;
    "This is My body"; so Thou givest yet;
    Faith still receives the cup as from Thy hand.

    3.
    One body we, one body who partake,
    One church united in communion blest;
    One name we bear, one bread of life we break,
    With all Thy saints on earth and saints at rest.

    4.
    One with each other, Lord, for one in Thee,
    Who art one Savior and one living head;
    Then open Thou our eyes, that we may see;
    Be known to us in breaking of the bread.

    I'm gonna work so God can use me

WHY THE BOOK OF HABAKKUK IS IMPORTANT FOR BELIEVERS

The book of Habakkuk is important because it explores the difficult questions of suffering and injustice, demonstrating that a posture of trust and faith in God is possible even when circumstances are unclear. It emphasizes that true faith is not about having all the answers but about trusting in God's character and promises, even amidst hardship.
